Maple Lemonade with a twist!

Lemon Balm infused Maple Lemonade

1 1/2 C. Lemon Juice

3 3/4 C. Water

1/3 C. Maple Syrup (or more to your taste)

1/4 C. Maple Sugar

3 C. lightly packed fresh lemon balm

Simmer 1 1/4 C. water.  Add lemon balm and maple sugar and allow to steep for 10 minutes or overnight.  Squeeze lemons and and add juice to remaining water.  Stir in maple syrup.  Strain the lemon balm from steeped mixture and add the liquid to the lemonade.  Add ice and enjoy!

For an extra twist think about adding a few shots of Bourbon or Tequila and freeze the entire mixture, scoop into iced glasses with maple sugared rims for a summer night time margarita!!
